  7. Access the net, write mail, ftp, www and gopher from one window. You
  8. can also use AmiTCPHelper to organise the various AmiTCP config files
  9. including DialScript, .sig, config and newsgroups. Created with CanDO
  10. v's 2.0 and 3.0 by Ben Vost. Comes with the necessary CanDo.library
  11. v3.8. If your version of AmiTCPHelper is older than v1.16, you
  12. *will* need this library...

  16. v1.20    Got rid of the clock tool, but replaced it with a traceroute function.

  31. v1.18    General tidying up. Also, I don't think many people had access to
  32.     v1.17, so this counts as a new public release.
  33.     I've also removed the time restriction as it made me seem petty. It was
  34.     only introduced because I was persuaded to do it...
  35.     Since iBrowse hit v6a it hasn't worked with AmiTCPHelper unless you
  36.     copy the libraries into LIBS:. This can't be changed for the moment, I
  37.     only suggest you add a new line to your user-startup that says:
  38.     "assign libs: XXX:iBrowseDemo add" where XXX: is wherever you've got
  39.     iBrowse stashed on your hard drive...
  40.     One last thing. I will be moving in the next week or so, so get in
  41.     touch with me via e-mail if you're thinking of registering...

  44. v1.17    Removed the aliases and signature items from the edit menu
  45.     because they weren't editing the _correct_ alias and sig
  46.     files...
  47.     Added a check when you link down to see how many mails there
  48.     are remaining.
  49.     Implemented double clicking on one of the exclusive buttons
  50.     to start your defined editor for the particular file.
  51.     More internal tidying up (I've managed to free up several k's
  52.     worth of old routines that were no longer being used, but
  53.     that were still compiled into the program. Unfortunately,
  54.     adding new features increases the size again so the saving
  55.     doesn't really show...)

  59.     AmiTCPHelper now supports mail packages other than Elm.
  60.     Dos notify for mail messages implemented, but not to my
  61.     satisfaction. A tooltype will allow for the old method to be
  62.     resumed.
  63.     ***IMPORTANT CHANGE*** AmiTCPHelper now only runs for ten
  64.     minutes before shutting down. Registering will remove this
  65.     restriction.
  66.     Other odds and sods improved like the appearance of the list
  67.     window and the mail out area.

  70. v1.15    Bit of a change around for this version, no more text fields
  71.     for Ping, finger, etc., but a list of addresses which can be
  72.     freely edited. Bang goes the Newsgroup list, but if anyone

  76. v1.14    There was no version 1.13 but only because I don't like to
  77.     tempt fate :) v1.14 sees the addition of the Mailqueue clone
  78.     to the AmiTCPHelper window. At the moment this checks
  79.     uuspool: every five seconds to see if there is new mail or if
  80.     mail has been sent. It creates a text file in T: called
  81.     SpoolList, so if you find your DOpus constantly rereading T:
  82.     that is the reason. 
  83.     Changed the About menu item back to the standard one, the one
  84.     in v1.12 was only for registered users.
  85.     Rewrote some of the documentation to stop it seeming so
  86.     dated.
  87.     Changed the way the mailboxes were checked and now the
  88.     requester will change dynamically if mailboxes are deleted.
  89.     In previous versions you had to restart AmiTCPHelper to see
  90.     any changes. The names in the requester are also now in
  91.     alphabetical order.
  92.     Internal simplification. I got rid of a couple of tooltypes
  93.     that didn't do anything along with their mentions in the
  94.     scripts.

  97. v1.12    Yet another rejig of the buttons as the Prefs and Read News
  98.     buttons have been removed. Not sure if I like the new layout
  99.     so it might get changed yet again...
  100.     I've added a DOSNotify event to check to see if a new mailbox
  101.     has been added when mail is received. Previously, the only
  102.     time AmiTCPHelper checked for the names of the mailboxes was
  103.     at startup.
  104.     One internal change with regard to how registered owners are
  105.     dealt with...
  106.     Dumped the Prefs page as being beyond my capabilities and
  107.     also a bit pointless.

  129.     eventually let you edit TCP-related ENV variables and the
  130.     co-ordinates and size of the windows that AmiTCPHelper opens
  131.     amongst other things.
